January 28, 2012 - HOME!

We left Denver Wednesday morning and have been making our way one destination at a time, to Oklahoma City!  It has been a super easy trip and the kids have taken each trek of the drive like champs!!  We are now in OKC and it feels SOOOOO good to be home.  I didn't realized how much I have missed this place.

January 24, 2012 - I'm back!

I am sorry I am been so absent these past few months!  I just started looking over several of my blog entries from last year and I realized how important this blog is.  What an amazing thing to capture everyday of your kids young lives.  They grow so fast and since I have an AWFUL memory this is the only way I am going to be able to remember all the sweet little things they did!  So I am back and fully committed!

This afternoon I bribed Laila and Jai to sit for some Valentines pictures.  We had to go through quite a few marshmallows to get some decent pics!  Christmas came and went too fast and I never got Christmas cards out, so I thought it might be nice to send Valentines cards instead.  V-day is my favorite day of the whole year. For the past few years we have a huge feast at home, consisting of steak, king crab legs, chocolate covered strawberries and much much more.  We decorate the house with streamers and it is a pink and red everywhere!  I love V-day and I am really looking forward to this years celebration!

This one almost made the cut, but Arjun begged me not to use it! I think it is hilarious!

January 23, 2012 - Best buddies!

Jai and Laila have truly become the best of friends! It has been a riot to watch them grow closer and closer.  As a result my house has taken a huge hit.  My bathroom is their favorite place to get into trouble and Jai is the master of it.  He loves getting into any type of lotion, soap or toothpaste and all the while Laila just eggs him on!  A recipe for disaster, at least for me!  I catch them doing one mischievous thing and then they are on to the next.

January 12, 2012 - Big Girl

I am so very proud of my Missy tonight!  She is a constant surprise!  I have been trying to convince her for the past week or so to try sleeping without a diaper.  And tonight without any pushing from me she announced that she was a "big girl" and she was not going to wear a diaper!  She makes me so proud!  I am always awed by her innate beauty and reserved, poised little self.  She doesn't let anyone push her around and does things on her own time.  She is a beautiful soul!

Day 3 - bedtime is a breeze

Lately after putting the kiddos to bed the following has been happening:

-ecstatic happiness and lots of laughter
-pitter patter of feet in all of the upstairs area
-lots of loud instructions by Laila received by Jai and followed out to the letter!

Prepare to be amazed by my kids singing voices!
