Day 8 - Basketball and Spaghetti

Arjun had a basketball game this morning and we had so much fun watching him! I wish I was able to get pictures but the event but it was hard enough keeping Jai and Laila off the court! Jai was hilarious, he was sitting on my lap, flapping his arms and legs and just babbling his little babble, so excited to see boys running up and down the court with a ball! He and Laila were so good about clapping every time Aj's team scored. Of course, by half-time they both had turned their attention to snacks and everything else around them! BTW Arjun’s team won!!

I have often mentioned that Jai and Laila are very different. Laila almost refuses to even look at a camera and to get a smile is practically impossible. Jai on the other hand, just lights up when he sees a camera! I love taking pictures of him because he makes it so easy! He is such a cheese!

Day 7 - Lucy Lu! Oh how we love You!

Well Lucy joined us for the day and we had so much fun! The poor girl wasn't so sure about the Suri clan in the beginning but she warmed up fast! The weather was wonderful today so we spent a lot of time outside! The girls loved going for a walk and playing in the backyard! Not one fight or tear, whoo hoo!! They played so well together, better than I ever could have imagined.

Day 7 - Lucy Lu! Oh how we love You!

Day 6 - Tennis, BB and MDO

Oh my gosh, busy day! Laila had MDO, I had a dentist appt and both babies had haircuts, Arjun had tennis practice and then basketball. Needless to say there was a lot of time spent in the car today.

Laila did great while getting a haircut, she loves it! The hairdresser gives her a sucker and that is all that matters to her. Now Jai was a different matter, he did not appreciate the trimmer nor the scissors.

When we got home Jai had a belated Christmas present from his Godmother, he loved the books and soft elephant! Although I think he liked the paper and box even more! I swear that boy gets so excited when he sees paper; I am convinced he has saliva that can just about dissolve anything! The other thing Jai LOVES is the toilet! I crawls super fast and opens the lid and starts playing with the water! I try really hard to keep the bathroom closed but it is not an easy task.

Lastly, we are going to MEXICO!!! Manik and I have debated and debated and finaly decided to just do it! I can't wait! We will be gone over Laila's birthday but luckily she is too young to realize it. I am so very ready for some sun and sand!!

Day 5 - Jai Jai

Jai is growing so fast, today he said his first word! The big word was "uh oh"! He is so precious, wild and pure boy! Jai is so cuddly and sweet, his smiles just light my heart! I captured a few quick pics of Jai and his two bottom teeth. That boy loves to smile for the camera!

Laila also had a first today, she started gymnastics! She was a little shy and unsure of what it was all about but she quickly caught on! I think after a few more times she will be golden. The teachers are fantastic, and the program is really great for the kids coordination and balance as well as following directions! I wished I was a kid again and could do some of the fun stuff they were doing. I didn't take any pics but I will try next time!

I have decided to post 365 days of the year! I sure hope I can stick with it, I think it would be so wonderful to capture the next year of my babies lives.

Baby

Baby oh baby! Grandma Sue gave Laila her Baby on her first birthday and it has been true love ever since! Baby is extremely well taken care of, she is put down for numerous naps, read books, she is wiped when she has stinky diapers and has been swaddled more times than I can ever begin to count, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Once we brought Jai home her interaction with Baby went into high gear. She would imitate me so Baby was soon being burped, fed a bottle, cooed to and everything else you ddo with a newborn. For almost 8 months Baby did not have a name and then one day Laila's cousin Wilder was born. A few weeks later I asked her what Baby's name was and she simply replied "Baby Wilder"! She and baby are a hoot! I will be so sad when she outgrows Baby, I hope that it doesn't happen for a very very long time!

Our baby is growing up!

Miss Laila reached a HUGE milestone! The day after Christmas we started Laila on potty training, and she was a STAR! That girl makes me so proud. After one small little mishap she hit the jackpot everytime! After the entire day without a poo I was beginning to get a bit anxious, but not to disappoint Laila came to perform! Just before bed she had a big poo and Dad and I were soo excited! We had to celebrate with chocolate cake, Laila was more excited about that than her big poo! Good times at the Suri house!
