Day 39 - The poop is coming

Laila has the potty mastered! Our favorite saying of hers is "the poop is coming"! It is absolutely the funniest thing and I crack up every time she says. Usually the conversation goes something like this...


Me: Laila do you have to go pee pee or poo poo

Laila: Laila go pee and poo poo

Me: Are you done yet?

Laila: No mama, the poop is coming! (She says this while nodding her head and holding her hand up like patience mom!



Speaking of Missy Mae, I took her to the doctor today and she has a double ear infection. My poor babies are both sick and coughing like crazy. Hopefully Spring is coming soon!!

Day 38 - Another one bites the dust

Looks like Laila is the next one to get the sick bug. She was just not feeling very good today. Next was Manik, came home early and went straight to bed! And now Arjun is coughing! All I have to say is spring can't come soon enough!!

Day 37 - Oops and Superbowl Playdate

So sorry I didn't post yesterday. Manik and I went out to dinner and by the time we got back I was only focused on my pillow!

Jai is feeling a million times better, thank goodness for modern day medicine! Manik took him to the doctor yesterday morning and he had an ear infection in both ears. Poor baby!

The downside to being in the pizza business is every major holiday and sports event is a huge pizza day for the boys (boys being Jason, Manik and Brian Keller).  So this time the wives decided to get together and hang out for the Superbowl!  So we packed up some goodies and headed over to the Keller's house.  It was so much fun to see the little kids playing together. Laila and Jai were in heaven with all the new toys!

Day 35 - Baby needs medicine

Jai tends to go asthmatic when he gets a cold. What this means is that he can't cope with a cold the way you and I do. For him it means the closing of his windpipe, resulting in raspy and wheezing breathing and lots of coughing and sneezing. Despite feeling badly he is still smiling and happy! And as Arjuns says "Even though Jai feels terrible he is still the happiest person in this house"! It couldn't be a truer statement!

Last night was a long one, he was by far the most sick I have ever seen him. He couldn't breathe and kept waking up in the middle of the night wanting to be held. But I am so happy to say that it seems like his fever is down and (keep your fingers crossed) hopefully he will have a better night!

Since Jai has been receiving quite a few breathing treatments throughout the day, Laila has decided that Baby Wilder also needs some medicine. She would look at me and say "Momma, Baby needs medicine" while nodding her head the entire time. She started giving her Baby medicine this morning and she probably received 35 treatments by time the day was out!

Day 34 - Brotherly Love

I am so happy Arjun came to live with us.  I never thought the babies would have the chance to know their big brother.  Arjun is so sweet and loving towards the kiddos, they get unlimited kisses and hugs.  This afternoon I needed to vaccum and Jai hates the vacuum.  It makes him cry everytime, but it is really hard to vacuum with him on my hip.  So I asked Arjun to play with him and keep him busy...as I finished up the dining room this is what I found. 

It was so sweet! Jai has not been feeling well and all he needed was a little snooze on big brothers shoulder to get through the rest of the afternoon!

This morning I was showing Laila all the pictures on my phone and came upon this picture. It is priceless! Jai was probably a few days old at the time! He had just finished a bottle it had just plain worn him out!

Day 33 - Going a Little Nuts

Okay, I have had enough of this homebound stuff, I am going stir crazy. I don't care if it is zero degrees tomorrow we are doing something outside the walls of this house. Oh and to top it off some kind of animal (we think a neighborhood stray cat) chose our crawlspace to make his final resting spot!  So needless to say there is a wonderful smell making its way into the house! I suppose it is a very good thing it is as cold as it is or the smell would be so much worse. As you can clearly see I am in quite a mood.

On a brighter note I took Laila outside this afternoon to touch and see the snow and she was definitely not interested! She touched it with the very tip of one finger and that was enough! Her reaction was too cute!  I loved her pink outfit!  Pink from head to toe!

Day 32 - Snow Day

Well the storm brought lots of snow and cold wind!  It was fun to to look out and see the beautiful white landscape!  The dogs loved frolicking throught the snow, they definately enjoyed it the most.

Yesterday morning Laila surprised Manik by climbing into Jai's bed (without ANY help!).  This morning I had my camera ready and got to capture it on film!

While Laila was busy playing in Jai's bed he was playing in hers.

This afternoon Arjun was asking Laila to tell us her full name, she of course responds "Laila Rose Suri", so then he asked her Jai's full name, she response "Jai Jai Mahant Suri", he then asked her what Mama's name was and she thought for a moment and responded "Mama Rose Suri", we burst out laughing!  Arjun then asked her what his full name was and she again thought for awhile and finally came up with "Arjun Mahant Suri"!!  So funny how their minds work!
