Day 109 - Here's looking at you!

This afternoon after naps we headed to the park.  Laila and Jai are so happy when we are at the park, the swings are their favorite.  I wish I had taken some pictures to capture their happy smiles but alas I had left the camera at home.  I promised them that I we would go back to the park on Friday so I will take some pics then.

I did find some sweet pictures of Jai Jai from February so I am posting those to ease my guilt!

This is pretty much a normal site now, if there is not dirt in Jai's mouth
I start to think something is wrong!  Is that strange??

Such a soulful look.

And my all time favorite!!

Day 108 - Good Day

We had such a nice day today.  Took the kids to the doctor because I thought they might have ear infections, but good news!  No ear infections, just a old fashion common cold.

After the doctor we ate lunch and we all went down for a nap!  I love naps!

When Arjun got home we chatted for a bit and then we started on dinner.  Laila asked to eat her dinner outside, the weather was wonderful and I couldn't see why not.  She was in heaven and she actually ate really well, not the norm around here.

Arjun set the little table in front of her and she was all set!

While Laila was eating outside, we hauled Jai's chair into the kitchen while Arjun and I prepped and prepared dinner.  If Jai has entertainment and food in front of him he will just keep on eating!  I never have to worry about that boy eating.

What a ham!  He has a million funny faces!

But, this smiling face is my favorite!

Day 107 - Spring Cleaning

This morning I dropped Laila and Jai off at school and made my way home to relax and kick my feet up...I wish!  No, actually this morning and early afternoon I scrubbed, vacuumed, wiped, folded, dusted, watered, and finished up with some heavy lifting.  It has been a very long time since I spent so consolidated time cleaning and it was so nice, I was able to completely focus on each room without distraction.  The house looks so nice and I feel so good just knowing that every room is perfectly clean...well at least for the moment!

My garden has started to produce!  I have harvested a few radishes, which Laila loves, and some broccoli.  My mom bought Laila, "The Story of Peter Rabbit" and on the third page Peter slips into Mr. McGregor's garden to eat some of his garden.  The pictures displayo radishes and lettuce and I was so proud when Laila could tell me what veggies were pictured!  Just the day before she had helped some radishes.  We cleaned them and tasted the fruit of our labor!  We both liked them! My baby girl is so smart!

Laila displaying our newly harvested radish!

Jai Jai wearing his pretty and holding my small radish!

My row of radishes, the ladybugs love them!

Day 106 - Glad To Be Back!

When Heidi came home today, Jai came running to her with open arms. Then they just cuddled for about ten minutes. I put Jai's hair up just like Laila's. They were soo cute and they both looked like little girls! ( No offense Jai)

He likes the camera!

I am glad you are back Heidi!

Day 105 - I'm Pooped

Last night my dad and I stayed up late watching television. It was about three in the morning when we finally laid down to go to sleep. Since Heidi is out of town, we had to wake up with the kids at seven. The place was a train-wreck so we had to pick up a little bit before the sitter came.

I watered the front yard and when I got to the back to water, I saw bits and pieces of Heidi's yoga mat all over. The dogs got there revenge for me leaving them out all morning.

This was a set back for our time frame that we were trying to stick with since we had a cricket match at 10:00... Basically 11:00 on Indian Standard Time. We followed the Indian Standard Time since the other team failed to show until around 10:45. We played a nice match, Dad and I both got a pretty good catch. This made my day, plus I got a great tan... It was an overall nice day even though we did not come out on top.

Sorry,  No Pictures

Day 104 - Heidi is Out of Town... Again

Heidi has left town for a bachelorette party, so we have the weekend to ourselves. This means that we can eat all of the spicy foods that we would like!

Meet the Ghost Chili... It is the World's Hottest Pepper

While dad was at work, we had a babysitter named Jenny. She did great and the kids slept well for her... When I got home from school I busted out the camera and took some great pictures. Here they are!!

Jai just loves his thumb!!

Laila said that she had a "Pretty, Pretty" on her head.

She is sooooo cute!

!!!She is smiling... and looking at the camera!!!

Day 103 - 8th Grade Presentation

Arjun's teacher put together a presentation of the kids throughout the years.  It was really sweet even if Arjun wasn't in it till this year.  The presentation brought tears to many eyes.

His class is full of great kids!

The end of the presentation ended in each one of the kids bringing their parents a rose.  It was very thoughtful and sweet!
