April 17, 2012 Wheels up!

Last week Laila got a new bike, appropriately name "Bubblelicious"!  It is adorable and I love it!  This bike does not have pedals and allows the child to use their balance and feet to make it go.  I love the idea of this, they skip training wheels and go straight to real big girl bike!

Jai also got one too but he is a little too short and a little too scared.  We'll try again in a few weeks!  For right now he is happy to pose for me!

Laila is thrilled with her new wheels and I am so proud of how quickly she has picked it up!
She is such a go getter!

Cheers!

April 15, 2012 - Shitty Day

Not sure what kicked off the day so poorly but it was just one of those days.  Laila was an emotional mess one minute and a happy go lucky turd the next.  Jai was testing me at every turn and I ran out of patience very early this morning...so I decided to throw myself a good ol' fashion pity party.  It boils down to one simple thing...I miss my husband.

Genghis Grill is doing amazing, hitting one sales goal after another and Manik is living his dream.  Nine days out of ten I have no problem with the hours he has to work.  This is life and this is what it takes, this is what we signed up for.  I completely support my man but I miss him.  poor me:).

So I will head to bed and wake up in the morning happy, chipper and ready to meet the day!

As one of our favorite books puts it...it has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day..and as my baby girls says, some days are just like that!

Peace out!

April 10, 2012 Daddy and his little girl

Daddy got to come home a little early today and we got to have some quality time with him.  It was so nice to have my other half home for awhile.  Missy enjoyed cuddling with him too.

Of course baby Caitlin had to get in on the action too!

Bubby had a small allergic reaction to some shots he got yesterday.  He is doing much better and should be back to his playful self by tomorrow.

Just to give you an idea of how much Arjun has grown, here is a shot of his and Manik's hands.  They are both ridiculously large!

April 8, 2012 - Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter with friends and family!  I think the kiddos really enjoyed themselves as did I!  I love that this is a day of celebration and so thankful for all that the Lord has provided me.

Yesterday we went to the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.  The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit and the kids were very curious.  Jai had some serious reservations but Laila was happy to see him and later give him a hug!

More interested in picking looking at the grass and bugs than collecting eggs!

This girl is a ham!

This morning we went to Church, Laila loved singing along to the songs of course her version was much more creative and unque.  I am pretty sure everyone around us thought so too!

After Church Dad was able to sneak away from work to join us for the Easter basket hunt.  The kiddos did a great job and were thrilled with their finds!

Not sure what that smile is all about...?

Bubby loved his Mr. Potatoe Head, or as Jai calls him Tato Head!  I love his little language!

My little flower and by two sweet bunnies!

My one true love, Happy Easter babe!

This afternoon when we to a family friends house for lunch and yet another egg hunt!  We had a wonderful time, playing and of course watching the Masters.  The kids had a blast playing in our friends sand box and playhouse!  Jai really got the hang of the hunt this go around...he came, he saw, he conquered.  Laila on the other hand would only pick up the "girly" eggs.  Nothing but pink and purple for her.

Laila, Jack and Jai with their booty!

Happy Easter All!

Heidi

August 5, 2012 - Good night kisses

A few months ago I showed Laila to what a butterfly kiss was.  Since then she has added more and more kisses to the bedtime routine has grown and grown.  Our bedtime routine has takes a bit longer now, keep in mind these are all the kisses she gives me not the other way around!!  Here is how it all goes down:

1. Eskimo kiss (noses)
2. Butterfly kiss (eyelash to cheek)
3. Foreheads
4. Cheeks
5. Momma Kiss (lips)
6. Chins (This was added this evening!)

I absolutely love it!  That's my baby!  Daddy doesn't get these wonderful kisses, just me!  Just one of the perks to being at home all the time!

Cheers,
Heidi

April 4, 2012

Mother Nature has such a sense of humor!  Yesterday it snowed all day, big fluffy flakes....and today...SUNSHINE!  This morning we were eating breakfast and the sun came out and and I said "Yay the sun is out!" and the Jai's response was, "Momma that makes you happy huh."!  He sure know me well!  When the sun is shining I am a much happier person.  SO yesterday high of 32degrees, and now today high of 60 degrees!  Love it!

This boy was on a mission, ball in hand!

Yep, eating snow...hopefully it wasn't yellow!  They thought I wasn't watching them :)

Love this pic, the snow falling, the bench and the beautiful tree with its flower buds and snow laden branches.

On a side note...the picture was taken of Laila when she was about six months...

and yesterday I took this picture of Laila...I love how much she has changed yet still stayed the same.  I also love that she still years this hat...thank you Keitha!!

Cheers,
Heidi

April 2, 2012 For Bharat Chachu

I write this post with a heavy heart, my alma mater the University of Kansas lost the NCAA championship this evening.  They played so hard and with so much heart.  Next year boys!

Any who.....Bharat this post is for you.  I know how much you have been missing the kids and trust me brother we miss you just as much!  So little brother here are some pics of the fam and all that we have been up to these past couple of weeks!

Meet Nala!  The proud mama of 10 puppies!  I had the privilege of helping her birth your sweet babies with my good friend Brooke.  All I can say is she was amazing and I am sooo thankful God only gives me one at a time!

The early spring here in Denver has been wonderful!  The kids have been making good use of the sunshine and helping me get my garden ready.  It has been a muddy and dirty good time!
 Team work!

When Laila isn't playing in the dirt she is dressing up in her princess clothes (thank you Grandpa!).  We rented Beauty and the Beast a few weeks ago and sure enough out came Bell's yellow dress while she watched the movie!

I love this pic!  They love the lady bug and the super duper special park we visit on Friday's.  I love how they are each others best friend and play so well together...most of the time ;)

On March 19th our Jai Jai turned 2!  I can hardly believe two years have gone by since he came into this world.  He lights up my days with his sweet cheeks, his intensely strong desire to fix anything with his boomer and screwdriver, and his adorable lisp.  He is my number one cuddle bug and I wouldn't pass up a minute of watching George with you than get one morning when I could be getting one of my millions chores done.  Love you baby!

And I will end with this sweet pic.  In the past few months Laila has blossomed into a beautiful big girl.  I feel like the toddler days are slipping away and she is becoming more of my companion.  I adore her gentleness, thoughtfulness, her desire for perfection and her strong will.  How can you not just fall in love with those gorgeous brown eyes!

Oh wait one last pic, this is one Jai took of himself.  Love those luscious lips!

Cheers!!!

Love,
Heidi
