Bye Bye Grandma, we LOVE you!!

My mom has been visiting us for the past few days and it has been wonderful!  It has been quite awhile since we saw her and she was a sight for sore eyes!

Laila and Jai were napping when I went to get her so when they woke up they were so happy to see her smiling  face!  It was so sweet to see their reaction.  The kiddos put her to work immediately reading books and playing games.

While Sue Sue was here we went to the Denver Children's Museum.  It is wonderful.  The first thing you see when you walk in is a real fire truck!  Let's just say Jai was in HEAVEN, but a little intimidated. Next time he will have the courage to put on a jacket and hat.  Laila had no such problem!

 Learning about 9-1-1

Jai loved the bubble room, it was so much fun!  One is never to old to love bubbles!

 A giant bubble column!

And no museum trip would be complete without a grocery shopping trip to Whole Foods! This was Laila's favorite activity!  She asked to go back at least 15 times to grocery shop!  Wish she could do it for me every week!

Miniature check out stand!  It was priceless to see her putting all her items on the conveyor belt, then taking them off and then putting them on again and then taking them off.... you get the idea.

And our last station was the painting room, this was so much fun.  They loved the big brushes and unlimited paper!   They made some amazing art that most likely we will be selling in ten years for thousands of dollars!

Masterpieces I tell ya!!
To say the least the kids had a wonderful time and it was by far the most enjoyable museum I have ever been to!  Later in the week we went for a hike and had a nice lunch at Genghis Grill!  I was very sad to put Grandma Sue Sue on a plane this evening but luckily we know we will see her again in a few short weeks!

I asked grandma to take a few pics of me and the kids as I have millions of pics with them and everyone else but few with me and the two of them!  This was my favorite.  Jai's expression is just priceless!

May 1, 2012 Happy May Day

I love May Day!  When I was a kid we would make little may baskets and run and drop them off at our neighbors.  Of course we lived in the country so we only had three neighbors but it was still fun!  Such sweet memories!

I had some fun with the editing options in Picasa, I love the outcome!

Oh Wilder we miss you!!

How sweet is this, she is my sugars!

The master of the house, my loyal companion and trustworthy floor cleaner!

I love the deep soulful look that Jai has.  He is truly a beautiful little boy.  I wish I could freeze time and just keep him this age forever minus the diapers!

Cheers!

April 17, 2012 Wheels up!

Last week Laila got a new bike, appropriately name "Bubblelicious"!  It is adorable and I love it!  This bike does not have pedals and allows the child to use their balance and feet to make it go.  I love the idea of this, they skip training wheels and go straight to real big girl bike!

Jai also got one too but he is a little too short and a little too scared.  We'll try again in a few weeks!  For right now he is happy to pose for me!

Laila is thrilled with her new wheels and I am so proud of how quickly she has picked it up!
She is such a go getter!

Cheers!

April 15, 2012 - Shitty Day

Not sure what kicked off the day so poorly but it was just one of those days.  Laila was an emotional mess one minute and a happy go lucky turd the next.  Jai was testing me at every turn and I ran out of patience very early this morning...so I decided to throw myself a good ol' fashion pity party.  It boils down to one simple thing...I miss my husband.

Genghis Grill is doing amazing, hitting one sales goal after another and Manik is living his dream.  Nine days out of ten I have no problem with the hours he has to work.  This is life and this is what it takes, this is what we signed up for.  I completely support my man but I miss him.  poor me:).

So I will head to bed and wake up in the morning happy, chipper and ready to meet the day!

As one of our favorite books puts it...it has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day..and as my baby girls says, some days are just like that!

Peace out!

April 10, 2012 Daddy and his little girl

Daddy got to come home a little early today and we got to have some quality time with him.  It was so nice to have my other half home for awhile.  Missy enjoyed cuddling with him too.

Of course baby Caitlin had to get in on the action too!

Bubby had a small allergic reaction to some shots he got yesterday.  He is doing much better and should be back to his playful self by tomorrow.

Just to give you an idea of how much Arjun has grown, here is a shot of his and Manik's hands.  They are both ridiculously large!

April 8, 2012 - Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter with friends and family!  I think the kiddos really enjoyed themselves as did I!  I love that this is a day of celebration and so thankful for all that the Lord has provided me.

Yesterday we went to the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.  The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit and the kids were very curious.  Jai had some serious reservations but Laila was happy to see him and later give him a hug!

More interested in picking looking at the grass and bugs than collecting eggs!

This girl is a ham!

This morning we went to Church, Laila loved singing along to the songs of course her version was much more creative and unque.  I am pretty sure everyone around us thought so too!

After Church Dad was able to sneak away from work to join us for the Easter basket hunt.  The kiddos did a great job and were thrilled with their finds!

Not sure what that smile is all about...?

Bubby loved his Mr. Potatoe Head, or as Jai calls him Tato Head!  I love his little language!

My little flower and by two sweet bunnies!

My one true love, Happy Easter babe!

This afternoon when we to a family friends house for lunch and yet another egg hunt!  We had a wonderful time, playing and of course watching the Masters.  The kids had a blast playing in our friends sand box and playhouse!  Jai really got the hang of the hunt this go around...he came, he saw, he conquered.  Laila on the other hand would only pick up the "girly" eggs.  Nothing but pink and purple for her.

Laila, Jack and Jai with their booty!

Happy Easter All!

Cheers,
Heidi
