Day 191 - Time flies!

I swear yesterday Jai was my sweet, bubbly, chubby baby....and now he is my curious, hopping, and big walking sorta talking big guy!  I can't believe how time has flown.

And then there is my beautiful little baby girl!  She is a perfect companion and thoughtful big sister.  I am so proud of the big girl she is turning in to!

This was just last summer, how could so much have changed in such a short time!

 

Please make time slow down.  I can't take it any more!

Day 190 - Open House and getting better

This morning Manik and I woke up and just mosied around the house.  This was such a delight, usually the kids have us busy and running around trying to get out the door but oh it was sooo wonderful just drinking coffee and reading my book while they just busied themselves. 

Of course we knew we had to get the house ready for an Open House and finally got into gear and got moving.  We were down to the wire but the house was perfect for the showing.  The realtor said about twenty people showed up and a few seemed very interested!  Please say a prayer for a quick sale!


Lastly,  Jai is feeling much better.  He woke free of fever and was more himself but still a little needy.  Hopefully tomorow will be a good day for him.

Day 188 - Girls night and more hotness

Sorry no post last night, went out with the girls and was too tipsy and tired to put a decent post together!  It was so nice to catch up with friends and just chat out on the front porch.  My days and nights are limited in OKC and all time spent with friends is much appreciated!

In other news Jai is still fighting a virus.  He woke up this morning crying and whining and still very warm.  I started getting worried that maybe I was missing something like an ear infection or strep so we got him to see the doc.  Doc confirmed what I thought it is just a virus and we just have to wait it out.  I pray Jai will be cool as a cucumber tomorrow morning.  I am ready for him to be his old self.  Please say a prayer for Jai Jai that he will feel better tomorrow.

As I have mentioned before Laila often grabs my camera, puts the strap around her neck and goes to town taking pictures.  I don't really check to see what she has photographed until the end of the night and here is what I found....it is truly terrifying.  I am surprised I still have a camera that works!

Yep, that would be the toilet bowl!  I believe Jai just flushed it and Laila was snapping some pics of the event.  Cute huh!!

Day 186 - One hot baby

Jai woke up hot today, I am blaming his teeth or lack thereof.  My poor baby boy was just not feeling like himself.  He wanted to me in my arms all day long.  While it was wonderful cuddling with him all day, I am ready for my sweet, playful and curious boy back.  I hope he is feeling better tomorrow!

Day 185 - Gotta love some crack!

I got my camera back and it brought back some memories of our time in Salina. 

On Sunday when we were waiting for Manik to arrive in Salina, we took a walk down the driveway.  Here are a few pics of our view.  I love seeing haybayles.  They just make me smile.

There is always something fun to do at Lori's, and this time it was tattos.  Stick-on tattoos that is.  Before you know it you are covered from head to toe in tattoos.  I have two on my feet, and five on my arms!  Laila was worse, she is covered!  But Jai Jai only got one, and it was perfect!

Day 183 - Home again

We got back into Oklahoma City this afternoon, and boy was Jai happy to be home. We all had a wonderful time Salina, Laila loved all the kids and the attention and I loved getting away from all the stress. Lori's house is surrounded by acres and acres of fields and hills and wonderful views. I could just lose myself out there! Now Jai Jai was a whole other matter! He was not happy unless he was in my arms or outside playing with rocks and dirt. I think it was just too much for him. I hope the move isn't too hard on him.

Yesterday, Lori and Bob hosted a huge 4th of July party, it was a huge success and we had so much fun.  Bob cleared some land and made a baseball field.  So after some time in the pool everyone headed out to the field for a friendly softball game, which in our family means super competitive!  Manik has never played baseball in his life but he was eager to get out there and try it. Laila was napping so I didn't go out there.  Once the game was over the first batch of kids walked in the door and all I heard was "Manik was amazing, did you know he doesn't wear a mit??  He just caught the ball with his hands, it was awesome!!", "Heidi, Manik hit a home-run!, It was awesome, he has never played before, did you know that???!!"  I was pretty proud, like I mentioned, the games get pretty competitive and I think Manik fit right in!  I guess all that cricket has paid off!
